About Rey

Reynaldo A. Martinez, Esq.

Reynaldo A. Martinez (“Rey”) is the founder of RAM LAW AND TITLE, PLLC (“RAM LAW”) which is both a law firm and full-service title company. He was born and raised in Miami, Florida as a first-generation American and the first member of his family to obtain a university degree. Rey has worked in the legal community for over a decade, representing businesses and individuals with all their transactional legal needs, while also amassing experience representing a variety of plaintiffs in civil litigation, including victims of hate crimes. Currently, he helps individuals and businesses throughout the entire state of Florida with their legal needs – including business contract and transactional work, commercial and residential real estate law including full-service title work, family law transactional work, and Estate planning including wills and trusts.

RAM LAW also independently contracts on a full time basis with MSP Recovery Law Firm (“MSP”). There, Rey is a litigation attorney and the head of the Trial Team. As the head of the trial team, Rey not only prepares to either sit as first or second chair for every hearing and deposition that MSP Recovery Law Firm is responsible for, but also helps prepare co-counsel for hearings around the country in both state and federal court. Rey has been found to be adequate class counsel and was an integral part of the trial team that certified three MSP class actions which are the first of their kind. Rey also was part of the MSP Recovery Law Firm team that worked alongside John Ruiz, Esq. whom was selected by the Honorable Judge Hanzman to serve on the plaintiff steering committee for economic loss plaintiffs in the tragic surfside building collapse case.

Rey is a proud graduate of the FIU School of Law evening program. In his last year at FIU Law, Rey was honored to represent FIU Law in a real-life hearing as part of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces’(“CAAF”) Project Outreach program. CAAF, which is the highest military appellate court in the United States was deciding the fate of a soldier who had confessed to of robbery in Iraq, but had done so after being questioned by military personnel without reading him certain rights. The Issue to be decided by the CAAF was whether the confession should have been suppressed and the defendant could be entitled to a new trial. Under the supervision of Professor Eric Carpenter, Rey wrote and submitted an amicus brief, and argued for over 10 minutes during the live session.

While attending FIU Law Rey also worked full time as a law clerk at the boutique plaintiff firm The Law Offices of Max R. Price. Even while working full time, Rey consistently made the Dean’s list, was active in many school clubs, and was elected by his peers to be the commencement speaker at the FIU Law Class of 2015 graduation ceremony.

Rey also proudly serves as a board member for the non-profit OneFargo, which is a community-based organization working to strengthen the community through equity & inclusion. OneFargo’s focus is on serving and empowering marginalized & under-represented people.
